Only serious buyers buy through a broker. It’s a lot easier to tell an agent what you’re looking for and have them look for it. Did you buy this house (or the one they’re moving to) through a broker or did you buy it privately? Agents work from this list, because with so many homes on the market, it’s easier to just look on the list. Without you being on the list, it’s like you’re not even on the market. This is your competition. My feeling is you need to get on the list. Once you’re on the list, my job is to act as a highlighter and spotlight your home so it stands out amongst all the other homes.
